I have had a strange desire to pick one of these up for some years. Maybe it is just weird 80's lust for anything forced induction, maybe I am crazy. I would love to pick up a CX650, although other manufacturers made turbo bikes as well.

Everything is cooler when it has "TURBO" written on it.

Ah yes, the the CX650 TURBO. It was my dream bike when I was 13 years old.
Why? Because everything up to that point (to me) looked like this:

It was the first time I noticed a modern-looking, fast-looking motorcycle.

I don't think I really wanted a motorcycle, I just knew if I was going to get one, this is the one I would get. I think I had a fold out ad on my wall.. I really knew nothing about them at all back then.

Why did I love it? Duh, that's easy. Sporty-looking bodywork and TURBO!!!!

I've ridden a Seca turbo. Sort of like riding a really pipe-y 2-stroke; lag... lag... lag... wheelie! Shift! lag... lag... wheelie! shift! lag... lather, rinse, repeat. Also, compared to modern bikes, the chassis dynamics are shit. Never ridden the Honda CX, but my guess is (based on the 86 Intercepter 500) that it's a much better bike overall.

maybe that is all it is for me...sporty looking and enough mentions of turbo to just go faster even without the forced induction
